  29. I trust you mean "set local on" not "set local echo on" as Kermit 3.14
  30. will not allow me to use the word echo.
  31. Having "set local on" the screen is now "unfrozen", and I can see what
  32. is being typed on both PC's.
  33. However what I want to do is run programs on the server from the
  34. "terminal".
  35. I have used this facility before to link a 486  running dos to a 386
  36. server running a unix Accounts program. I hasten to add it was not me
  37. who set up the system. When typing "C" to connect on the 486 it logged
  38. directly into the 386 and behaved as a full terminal and allowed access
  39. to all the Accounts software. Is there something special about unix
  40. which allows this link, if not, how do I connect to dos programs running
  41. on a 486 server from a 486 "terminal".
